I can not believe it has been nine years since I quit nursing Owen. Then again, I can't believe he's already turning 12. I'm going to be honest with you readers, I miss it. I miss him being tiny and needing me for everything. Oh sure I love that he can get his own cereal in the morning and I don't have to wipe his butt anymore, but I miss his little speech impediment and his constant need to be near me. I fell like nursing strengthened our bond in a way that I was not expecting.
