Jump Starting My Weight Loss Journey...Again

I'm pretty sure I've made this post 50 million times in the last 20 years. Definitely within the last 10 years. I start things and don't finish them. Hence, why I haven't lost the weight yet!

That being said, we made a purchase about a week ago and I have been loving it!

I have been looking for a walking pad since I started seeing them all over TikTok a couple years ago, but they were always entirely too much money. I just kept watching them and hoping one would go on sale so I could scoop it up, and my patience paid off! I found this one on sale on Amazon for $199, Prime eligible and threw it in my cart!

I was hoping it would stay on sale for a while and that my husband would get it for me for christmas but instead he says "I bought that treadmill you had in the cart". I was so excited! It was delivered quickly (within a few days) and I broke it open immediately!

It was very easy to figure out how to set up, came already assembled, and ready to use for the most part. It comes with a remote but also has the controls on the bar. I personally appreciate the bar because I have zero balance these days. Also on the bar is a little spot for your phone or a tablet (without a case, I couldn't put the iPad in there with the case on it).

I have used it every day since receiving it. I put the baby down for a nap around noon, get Maggie Mae her lunch, and get on the walking pad. It's great!

I know the price jumped back up $400, but I'd put it in your cart and save it for later so that you can watch it for another sale. It's worth the wait and the money!

Now, just walking isn't going to lose me the 60-70lb I need to shed, so I've also went ahead and signed up for the Healthi App. I joined a while ago but without a way to exercise I really didn't see much point. It's basically a Weight Watchers knock off. Formerly iTrackBites. Personally, I've been on Weight Watchers and I didn't like the app. This one is easy to use and doesn't cost an arm and a leg per month. I got a year membership for $40 last December I believe. If you can snag it on sale, do that.

You choose which plan you want to follow, get a set number of points, decide how your activity points are used, it's really just like Weight Watchers. I'm excited to see my progress on the app as I do my weigh ins.

I'm not putting restraints on myself this time. I'm not telling myself I can't have soda or I can't eat bread or I have to do certain things to ensure that I lose weight. What I'm doing is letting myself have whatever I want in moderation and trying to make better choices. I want it to stick this time. I want to be around in 20 years to watch Maggie and Walter go off to college or get married or have babes of their own.

I fail when I can't have things I want. It makes me crave them even more than I would have before.

Follow along with my weight loss journey and watch me kill this!
