2025 Goals

I don't make New Years resolutions. I'm not good at keeping them and honestly I've found that more people struggle with the toll it takes on them when they don't achieve those New Years resolutions. So, I am setting goals. Goals for my social media and goals for my health.

Let's start with my social media.

Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube

Post a minimum of three times daily. I've been attempting to do this on Mainly TikTok since I launched a new account in June/July of this year. I typically edit in CapCut and post the same video on all platforms. I haven't had much luck on Instagram (I also relaunched a new account about two weeks ago). But my TikTok and YouTube do pretty well.

Increase followers and engagement. I'm not growing on Instagram at all. I made my new Instagram and I'm stuck at 17 followers. The algorithm on IG has always confused me and no one seems to actually know how to grow on there. I've begun posting more on threads in hope for growth but I'm not sure if that will help. I will continue to attempt to make real connections though and it might be slow going but I'll keep it up. I'm going to make engaging on other moms accounts a priority and see how that translates into followers and engagement for myself.

Increase video time. I've been making a habit of just doing 30 second videos and I'd really like to keep it at a minute.

Make Blogging a Priority

Post twice a week. Something I haven't done so far but I'm going to try to get it done. It's coming up with things to write about that's the hard part.

Get My Weight Under Control

I weighed myself the other day. I could stand to lose about 100 pounds. That's not going to happen over night and it's not going to happen snacking and drinking soda like I'm 16.

No more soda.  I love soda. Especially Dr. Pepper Zero Cherry and Coke Zero. But it's not helping my weight loss, in fact, it's probably hindering it. I drank my last Dr. Pepper Zero yesterday and I won't be buying any more.
Drink more water. I'm not a water drinker normally. But I do enjoy a good cold Yeti filled to the top with water and a little Alani packet mixed in! If you haven't tried those, you're missing out in a big way. I only let myself have one a day, I just keep refilling my water. I've got a 42oz Yeti that is my emotional support cup at this point. I take her everywhere. Might as well fill her with water.

Walk Three Miles a Day. My husband bought me a walking pad this past summer and it's sitting in my dining room between the dogs crate and my desk. I love that it's at my disposal but finding the time to on it is hard. I feel like every time I get on it someone needs me to get off of it. I want to begin getting up in the mornings after my husband leaves for work, walk for a while, and then hopefully start my day. We shall see if Walter will stay asleep long enough for me to get that worked out.

What are your New Year Goals? How are you setting yourself up for success in 2025?
