I am so excited for Halloween this year! Maggie and Walter are both old enough to trick-or-treat, my husband is finally on days so he doesn't have to miss out, and we got them the cutest little matching costumes!
On Saturday my husband and I ventured out of the house and to Lowe's to pick out some new kitchen cabinets. Since Spirit of Halloween was just a few stores over we decided to pop in there and see what they had to offer. Maybe even score a Halloween costume.
I'm going to start off by saying the store itself was underwhelming. The animatronics didn't work for half of them and the inventory was meh. But we did find costumes for the babies!
Maggie Mae is going to be an excavator (which is actually a bulldozer)! Thank you Blippi for that. To go along with her costume, Walter is going to be a little construction worker!
At first I was a little sad they weren't going to dress up as something cute but I think I can make these costumes work! I'm going to get them both some work boots and dress them in bib overalls with plaid shirts. They both already have hard hats that came with their costumes. It might be the best costumes for these unpredictable Illinois nights.
Last year we didn't trick-or-treat. Neither kid was really old enough to grasp the concept and it was so cold we didn't want to drag them out in it.
But they sure did look cute!
I think this is going to be our most fun Halloween! What are your kids dressing up as this year?
