When we took Walter I had several people ask me How many kids are you going to take? and I would often hear You can't do this forever.
I am fully aware that I cannot continue to take children and adopt them into my golden years. At some point you have to say enough is enough. But I'd also like to point out that I'm only 42, I am not in my 60's. I am not a decrepit old hag looking like the crypt keeper. I am still young. There are women out there that are just now beginning their families. There are whole Facebook groups devoted to such topics. So, I am not alone in changing diapers and preparing for kindergarten drop off in my 40's.
As for how many children I can take. The answer is as many as I can.
And surprise surprise, we welcomed baby number three just a short two months ago.
I can't (or don't want to) release her name and we aren't sharing pictures of her face, though occasionally I do post something on my Instagram stories.
She is the most beautiful baby girl.
Born on August 21 at 2am and weighing a very tiny 6lb 12oz.
With every new baby you hold you're reminded how tiny and fragile they are.
I, of course, fell in love with her the second I saw her. She looks so much like a mash up of Maggie and Walter.
For those that might wonder, yes, visits have begun. Why she chose to do visits with the girls and not Wally is unknown.
But this sweet girl is so loved. After just two months I could not imagine my life without her.
